Mahed Mining Group is a leading mining company in the Middle East, specializing in building stone operations. Mahed Mining Group owns and operates over 13 building stone quarries in Iran, making it the country's largest producer and exporter of building stones. The group exports building stones to over 20 countries worldwide and has extensive experience in supplying various stone products for large construction projects.
Our Founder
Abolghasem Shafiee focused his activities in the private sector from the early 1990s. He made significant contributions to the growth and development of Iran's stone industry by discovering and extracting major and notable mines in the country. He is remembered as the 'Father of Iran's Stone Industry' for establishing prominent mines, expanding international activities, and playing a key role in founding and launching the Iran Mining House and the Stone Association. Abolghasem Shafiee was a hardworking, exemplary entrepreneur, and a man of construction and service, whose legacy includes creating jobs for over 15,000 people across Iran. His activities were not limited to stone; he also made significant contributions in other areas of the mining industry. He was recognized multiple times as an exemplary entrepreneur, miner, and exporter, and was frequently honored by presidents and high-ranking officials of the country.
